Day 1

20th July (LVIV)

The Grand Ukrainian Arrival

Arrive in Kyiv – the 1500-year-old capital city of Ukraine. Kyiv is a city rich in architectural and historical sites and is one of the most beautiful capitals of Eastern Europe.

Check into your centrally located hotel called the Ukrajina (or a similar one) and meet up with your tour director/tour guide and travel companions/group.

Spend your first evening exploring Kyiv’s main street of Kreschatyk and Independence Square with its many outdoor cafes & shops. Be sure to take it easy and have a relaxed day.

Enjoy the evening/night with our “Welcome to Ukraine Supper.”

Day 2

21 ist July (LVIV)

The Golden-Domed Tour Day!

After breakfast at the hotel, we embark on a tour of the golden-domed Kyiv. Our local guide will take you on through the historical paths of the city to explore several world-famous sights.

The tour begins with visits to the Verkhovna Rada, St. Vladymyrs Cathedral, Kyiv Opera Theatre, Rastrelli’s masterpiece, Golden Gates, Red University, & Taras Shevchenko Monument.

Later in the afternoon, you get some time to shop on the tourist-friendly St. Andrew’s descent and the trendy area of Podol.

In the evening, you can continue exploring Kyiv’s main street of Kreschatyk with its many outdoor cafes & shops.

Day 3

22nd July (LVIV)

The Arts & Architecture

After breakfast, we continue our city tour into Kyiv’s world of art & architecture. Some of the main highlights of today’s tour include St. Andrews Church, St. Michael’s St. Sophia’s 11c., Kyiv Cave Monastery (Kyiv Pecherska Lavra), St. Archangel Michael’s Golden Domes Monastery built in the 12th century, Museum of the Famine, & many other famous monuments and landmarks. Be sure to keep your cameras ready to click!

At night, we either transfer to the train station for your overnight train (sleeper cart first class) to Lviv or fly from Kyiv to Lviv with an overnight stay at the famous RIUS Hotel.

Day 4

23rdJuly (LVIV)

A Whole Day of LVIV’IN It Up!

Arrive early, check into your hotel (RIUS), relax, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, and depart on a full-day tour with your entertaining and knowledgeable guide to explore Lviv.

Your guide will thoroughly take you through the enchanting history of this ancient and charming city. Visit some of the best spots in the city like the Independence Prospect, Chocolate Factory, Coffee Mine, Opera Theater, Assumption Church, Italian Court, Market Square, and the ancient Armenian University and Quarters.

In the evening, enjoy some free time to shop at Lviv’s most popular artisan bazaar, meet with family or friends around the area, or continue exploring some of the coffee houses and scenes.

Suggested dinner at the Famous Krajivka restaurant. Post dinner, you can either continue exploring and enjoying the buzzing nightlife – as the old town comes to life or get some beauty sleep back at the hotel.

Day 5

24th July (LVIV)

A Truly Historic Day in L’VIV!

After breakfast, we depart for another sightseeing tour to explore Lviv’s historic Lychakivsky Cemetery, St. George’s Cathedral, High Castle, Old Pharmacy, Shevchenko Hai Open-Air Museum, and the Artisan Bazaar.

In the afternoon, you can try some of Lviv’s famous beers and explore the city pearl of western Ukraine with a bit of a buzz.

In the evening, you can continue exploring the nightlife or get some beauty sleep at the hotel.

Day 6

25th July (LVIV)

The Magnificent Mountain Life Day!

After early breakfast, we travel to the quaint town of Kolomyia. The tour begins with a visit to the impressive Ethnographic Museum and the Pysanka Museum – the world’s only museum of Pysanka. The stunning aspect of this museum is that its building is made in the form of a huge Easter egg. The museum’s collection includes about 10,000 exhibits representing the tradition of Pysanka paintings from different regions of the country.

In the afternoon after lunch, travel along a scenic mountain route to the Carpathian resort town of Yaremche. Here, you can spend your time enjoying close encounters with some of the famous waterfalls or shopping at the large artisan bazaar featuring traditional Hutsul treasures of embroidery, woodworking, weaving, and pottery.

Day 7

26th July (LVIV)

Greenery, History, & Baroque Architecture!

After breakfast, we travel through a scenic route along the foothills of the Carpathians to the beautiful city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

As a gateway to the Ukrainian Carpathians, Ivano-Frankivsk is a charming city with its beautiful parks, lush gardens, European-style houses, and historical monuments. The city is also highly unique because of its elegant baroque style of architecture.

In the afternoon, we will take a tour of the heart of the city which includes the 100 Metrivka Pedestrian Way, Market Square, City Hall, and much more.

After lunch, we make the short trip back to Lviv. Overnight stay back at the RIUS hotel.

Here, we can also add a day in the itinerary to visit Kosiv in the early morning and then continue to Ivano Frankivsk.

Day 8

27th July (LVIV)

Back Home with a Warm Heart & Wide Smile!

Savor the final breakfast of your tour, click some pictures, say your goodbyes, and transfer to Danylo Halytskyj Airport in Lviv to depart for your home country.

Don’t forget to collect all your belongings, gifts, souvenirs, and other collectibles from your trip! Until next time!
